GUT FLORA STABILIZER WITH SPECIAL COATING
Probiotics are live microorganisms that can be fed to animals. They are also known as direct-fed microbial, and can improve animal performance and health by affecting gut integrity and nutrient digestibility. Besides changes of microbial composition and activity, immune modulation and structural changes within the gastrointestinal tract can have a beneficial effect on the intestine protecting against pathogens.
THE ADVANCED PROBIOTIC SOLUTION
MAXLAC products are composed of Enterococcus lactis, a lactic acid bacterium. This strain has formerly been known as Enterococcus faecium and has just undergone a change in the nomenclature. MAXLAC protects the intestinal mucosa by creating a protective biofilm, thereby reducing the colonization by potential pathogenic bacteria.
F1: Structural composition of MAXLAC/Pellets.
The probiotic product of MAXLAC/Pellets is coated using a carrier and protective layer that protects the active bacteria against pressure, humidity, steam, abrasion, and heat. The coating thereby supports the probiotic stability and provides greater application flexibility (e.g., pelleting). More details about the product can be found in the Factsheet.
PROVEN BENEFITS ACROSS SPECIES
The effect of MAXLAC was assessed in several trials and different species. More details about a laying hen and broiler study can be found in the following. More trial results can be found on the product page by clicking here.
MAXLAC improves the performance of both laying hens and broiler. Laying hens fed with MAXLAC had a numerically greater daily egg mass compared to Control. In broiler, body weight was numerically greater and feed conversion numerically lower for MAXLAC compared to Control.
